Another photo of the Maligne River taken about 2pm. The mountain in the background reminds me of the Paramount mountain. It has not exactly the same shape but the sky, the foogy atmosphere, and the distant view create a picture as you know it from the Paramount logo. More Details...

The Paint Pots, Kootenay National Park, British Columbia, Canada
About 100 years ago, the colorful earth out of these ochre pools, that are nowadays knows as Paint Pots, were collected by the Kootenay people and later by European settlers to use as a coloring agent. Today an easy trail through the forest brings you to this attraction. These colorful pools are formed by mineral springs. More Details...
